Outlook For Mac 2011
If you are not getting new email, do the following:
1. Go under Tools à Accounts and select your Account from the left pane. Click the minus button at the bottom of the pane. This will delete the server account data stored on your computer. This will NOT delete any local email.
2. After this is completed, restart Outlook. Go back to Tools à Accounts and verify that the account is gone. This sometimes hangs and you may need to delete it again. If this happens restart Outlook again.
3. When your old account is finally gone, and you have clicked on Tools à Accounts, you should get a prompt to set up your email. Click on “Exchange or Office 365â€
4. You will be shown several fields. Enter the following information:
Email Address: Your FULL email address   Â
           Method: Username and Password
           Username: Your FULL email address
           Password: Your Password
Check Configure Automatically if it is not already checked.
           Click OK.
5. You MAY be prompted that Outlook was redirected to another server. This is OK. Click “Always Use My Response For This Server†then click Allow.
6. After a few seconds, your email should start coming back into your computer. All email, contacts and calendar events that had been on the server should come back in. Depending on the amount of data you have stored on the server, this may take 30 minutes to several hours. It just depends on how fast you internet connection is and how much data you have on the server.
