3.1. Ad Scheduling Guidelines

CLASSIFIED LINE ADS (Classified Ads Module)

- All Locations

  1. Under Publications, make the appropriate selection(s)
  2. Select Ad Type Liner (L)
  3. Select the insertion dates
  4. In the Class. field, select a classification
  5. Compose the ad in either the Ad | Order or Ad | Text tab

 

RETAIL DISPLAY

- All Locations – Retail Advertising

  1. Select Publication. If all papers, choose Combo M01
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select LOCL
  4. In the Section field, select from the available options
  5. Enter the Column and Height information, or select an Ad Size if applicable
  6. Enter color information if required

Note for all publications:
** For non-profit, change Ad Type to NP for correct rates.
** For frequency rates, change Ad Type to 4IS or 13IS for four or thirteen week insertions as appropriate.

  1. Select Publication DS09, DS10 or DS11
  2. Select the first insertion date for the month(s)
  3. In the Product field, select WEB
  4. In the Section field, select HOME
  5. Select an Ad Size available

 

- Church Page

  1. Select Publication(s)
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select LOCL
  4. In the Section field, select CHUR (Church Directory)
  5. Select the Ad Size CHURCH or DBLCHURCH

 

 

 

 

- National Advertisers – All Locations

  1. Select Publication(s)
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select NATL
  4. In the Section field, select from the available options
  5. Enter the Column and Height information, or select an Ad Size if applicable
  6. Enter color information if required

 

- Political Advertisers – All Locations

  1. Select Publication(s)
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select POLI
  4. In the Section field, select from the available options
  5. Enter the Column and Height information, or select an Ad Size if applicable
  6. Enter color information if required

- Obituaries – Courier News

  1. Select Publication
  2. Select the insertion date
  3. In the Product field, select OBT
  4. In the Section field, select OBIT
  5. Select Ad Size UPTO300 or OVER300

** If you select a second paper, you must change the Ad Type to "PU" (Pickup) to get the correct rate for the additional paper. This ad type must ONLY be applied to the second paper.

 

- Misc. Tabloids

  1. Select Publication DS07
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select LOCL
  4. In the Section field, select the appropriate tabloid
  5. Select an Ad Size available
  6. Enter the correct rate or total cost under the Price heading

 

- Misc. Targeted Publications (Books, Magazines)

  1. Select Publication DS05
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select LOCL
  4. In the Section field, select the appropriate publication
  5. Select an Ad Size available

- Scheduling a Retail Ad into a non-Delta South Publication

  1. Select the client you wish to schedule the ad for.
  2. In the Client | Profile tab, ensure that the entry in the Rate Card Type field corresponds to your location. If this field is blank, or incorrect, click on the adjacent Search icon and make the appropriate selection. Then, save the changes to the client profile by clicking on the Save icon.
  3. Select the Insert New Order option in the Select Insert Mode window.
  4. Select the publications according to the regular procedure. ***
  5. When scheduling the ad, select ASIR or ASIC (Ads Sold Into Retail or Ads Sold Into Classified, respectively) in the Product field for any other locations' publication. Select the local display (LOCL) product for your publication only.
  6. Save the ad for each publication in the order. Remember to change the Product field entry as required.

***In order to get the discounted rate for picking up all DS publications; instead of selecting each publication, choose Combo M01 – Delta South TMC Combo. Flashlight is automatically selected with the other publications.

 

 

 


INSERT SCHEDULING

- All Locations – Pre-Printed Inserts

  1. Select Publication
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select INSE
  4. In the Section field, select PPST (standard)
  5. In the Size field, select INSERTS
  6. Under the Price heading, enter the number of inserts in the Nb. Inserts field


CLASSIFIED DISPLAY (Display Ads Module)

- All Locations – Classified Advertising

  1. Select Publication
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select CLDP
  4. In the Section field, select CLAS
  5. Enter the Column and Height information, or select an Ad Size if applicable
  6. Enter color information if required

Note for all publications:
* For non-profit, change Ad Type to NP for correct rates.
* Frequency discounts are determined by the number of publication dates selected.

- Business Directory

  1. Select Combo M01 (DS TMC Combo)
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select CLDP
  4. In the Section field, select BDIR (Business Directory)
  5. Select the Ad Size BD1X1.5 or BD1X3


- Legals (PCI Rate)

  1. Select Publication
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select LEGL
  4. In the Section field, select CLAS
  5. Select Classification 0999
  6. Enter the Column and Height information

- Legals (Per Word)

  1. Select Publication
  2. Select the insertion date(s)
  3. In the Product field, select LEGA
  4. In the Section field, select CLAS
  5. Select Classification 0999
  6. Enter the number of words in the field Nb. Inserts
