General Troubleshooting

This book includes basic troubleshooting procedures you can try before you submit a request. These are the same steps that the support staff will go through and in most cases will resolve the problem without the need of the support staff.
This should be your first stop.

1. Spinning & Slow Performance

1.1. Font Problems

If you are experience slow performance or spinning on your machine you can run FontNuke to clear the font caches on your machine. Running this will require a reboot after it's done, but should improve overall performance on the system.

If you do not already have FontNuke on your machine, you can find it on Ads_1.

1.2. Open Programs

One of the most common problems for slow performance and spinning is too many open programs. To speed up performance on your computer, close (Command + Q) anyÂ program that are not actively being used.

Each computer has a limited amount of memory for running programs. The more programs you have open at any given time, the less memory each individual program has to work with.
